Yankes sign first round pick Ty Hensley

Well the Yankees agreed to terms with their first round draft pick RHP Ty Hensley, who was deciding between signing with the Yankees and going to college at Old Miss. Hensley was expected to go in the middle of the first round, but somehow fell to the Yankees 30th pick overall. At 6’5″ and 220 lbs,t he right handed pitcher sits low 90′s with his fastball, but has the ability to touch the upper 90′s. With better conditioning and mechanics, the 18 year old has could reach the majors throwing extremely hard, and he’s hoping that only a couple years away. Hensley is likely a top 5 prospect in the Yankees system, and falls somewhere around Jose Campos in in terms of pitchers. Hensley has however had his bonus reduced from $1.6 million to $1.2 million because of some shoulder damage that showed up on his MRI. He doesn't have any issues or pain but obviously it does raise some concern. Best of luck as a Yankee Ty.
